BSA TROOP 993

2010 Spring Creek Cleanup

Last updated:  02/15/2010

One of the main stay principles of Boy Scouting is being a sound member of your community through the volunteering of your time and service. Saturday, March 13, 2010,  the troop will be conducting our annual Little Hunting Creek Clean Up Project. This is an excellent opportunity to give back to your community, help the environment and have some fun.

The Troop has been cleaning up the banks along the creek in the vicinity of Route 1 for many years. We have removed everything for shopping carts, tires, to refrigerators. The majority of the trash is plastic bottles, cans and plastic bags, all of which will eventually get washed into the Potomac and the Chesapeake Bay if we don’t remove it from the creek.

Please join the Troop on Saturday, March 13 for this very worthwhile cause.

We will meet at the Big Billboard across from the Mr. Kleen Carwash at 9:00AM and finish by 12:00 Noon.

Please join us for all 3 hours or as many as you can.

Work gloves will be provided, please wear boots and preferably wading boots if you have access to a pair.

Please contact Mr. McDonald if you have any questions.
