Rifle & Shotgun Merit Badge Campout Information

Campout Date:   March 28-30, 2008

 

Activity information:     The Scouts will be learning the fundamentals of the safe handling and use of 22 caliber rifles and shotguns. The Campout will provide the opportunity for those Scouts that do not have the Rifle or Shotgun Merit Badges to earn them in a very safe environment. Scouts that have the badges will have lots of range time for target shooting. Scouts will also be provided the opportunity to work on rank advancements.

 

Food Costs :                   The Scouts food will be shared equally by the Patrols. One or two Scouts will be buying for their Patrol and will be reimbursed by the Troop. Meals are from Saturday Breakfast through Sunday Lunch. The Scout MUST eat Dinner before arriving at the Fellowship Hall Friday evening as we will NOT be stopping.

 

Special Training:            Will be done at Troop meetings prior to campout.

 

Special Equipment:        Scout handbook, merit badge books and a ‘Can do” attitude

 

Special Note:                  This will be a cold weather Campout, pack accordingly
