How can I help the troop?
Here are some ways that adults can help make Troop 993 even more of a success:
 | CREEK CLEAN UP-The Troop needs an Adult to coordinate one or both of the Creek clean ups. (April and October) | | SCOUTING FOR FOOD - The Troop needs an
adult or two to coordinate the Scouting for Food Drive in November, 2007. | | FUNDRAISERS- The Troop needs an adult or two to coordinate the Fruit Basket Fund raiser in November and December each year. | | PERMISSION SLIPS - Like to type? The Troop requires a permission slip every single time we go out. The permission slip is a template that needs to be filled out, copied, and handed out. | | TROOP ROSTERS -
Who is in what Patrol? When did he join the Troop? | | CALENDARS-
When did that change?
Nobody told me! Now's your chance to know what we're doing before we do! | | WEB SITE -
Our web site is good, can you make it better? | | NEWSLETTER EDITOR -
he Troop
needs an adult to be the editor of our newsletter. |
 | BECOME A CAMP MASTER AND COORDINATE ONE CAMPOUT - Know a great place to camp? Want to help with the logistics of a campout? Let the Scoutmaster know and he'll tell you how you
can help make it happen. We're looking for adults who can do the calling ahead for reservations and collecting of funds | | CONTRIBUTE TO THE WISH LIST - Have some old camping gear lying around the house? Check out the Wish List on this page and let us know via email how you can help. | | VOLUNTEER AS AN ADULT LEADER - If you love the outdoors and camping, and are a great teacher, consider being an Assistant Scoutmaster. If you're more of a behind-the-scenes person who likes to organize, fund-raise and provide support, consider a role on the troop committee. In either case, check out our Leadership Needs board on this page. | | BE A MERIT BADGE COUNSELOR - Everyone has skills they can use to teach Boy Scout merit badges. Your professional skills can be of great aid to the boys, whether you're in sales, an engineer or a computer technician. Your hobbies also are skills you can teach, from stamp collecting to sports to reading. Ask an adult leader for a Merit Badge Counselor form or download one. It's free to register. | | AND DON'T FORGET THE BEST WAY TO HELP - Talk up Scouting at home. Take an interest in activities your son is doing. Let him know you're proud of him when he earns a merit badge or attains his next rank. He'll thank you for it. Maybe not at the time, but in a decade or so, he'll let you know how much it meant to him. |
If you can help the troop on any of the items listed above, or wish to help in any capacity, please contact any adult leader in the Troop for further information
